Day 01 - Arrival, Mangroves & Seafood Welcome

Land at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to the coastal town of Negombo. As evening falls, enjoy a refreshing sunset stroll along the beach before gliding through mangrove-lined waterways on a traditional lagoon boat. Complete your arrival with a sumptuous seafood welcome dinner served oceanside – the perfect start to your Sri Lankan adventure.

 

Day 02 - Ancient Capital of Anuradhapura

Journey to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s ancient royal capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore magnificent stupas, sacred palaces, and monastery ruins spanning over two millennia. At dusk, visit the revered Sri Maha Bodhi Tree, one of the world’s oldest living trees – and the grand Ruwanweliseya Stupa for a moving cultural storytelling session.

 

Day 03 - Polonnaruwa & Dambulla

Transfer to Polonnaruwa and explore this medieval city by bicycle, an immersive way to discover ancient palaces, colossal Buddha statues and sacred temples. As the afternoon approaches, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to 150 Buddha images. Round off the day browsing a local handicraft workshop showcasing traditional Sri Lankan artisanship.

 

Day 04 - The Sacred Cultural Capital

Travel to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s cultural capital, nestled among rolling hills. Explore the Sacred City of Kandy, crowned by the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, considered Buddhism’s most important shrine. As night settles, enjoy a peaceful walk around the reflective Kandy Lake, its illuminated shoreline creating a wonderfully atmospheric, romantic ambience.

 

Day 05 - Into the Knuckles Wilderness

Venture into Knuckles Mountain Range, a UNESCO-listed wilderness of mist-shrouded peaks, hidden waterfalls and endemic wildlife. Trek along forested trails, breathing in the crisp highland air and discovering Sri Lanka’s extraordinary biodiversity. Return to your hotel in the afternoon for well-earned relaxation, surrounded by panoramic views of the emerald highlands.

 

Day 06 - Tea Country & Ramboda Falls

Ascend into Sri Lanka’s tea country on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya. En route, stop to admire the cascading Ramboda Waterfall before visiting a colonial-era tea estate. Observe skilled tea pluckers at work, tour a working tea factory, and enjoy a refined tea tasting session before arriving in charming, cool Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 07 - Horton Plains & World's End

Rise early for a spectacular morning walk through Horton Plains National Park, a cloud-shrouded plateau teeming with wildlife. The World’s End viewpoint reveals a sheer 880-metre cliff with breathtaking misty valley views. In the afternoon, explore the lovely Gregory Lake, where optional boat cruises and horse riding offer relaxing recreational diversions for all ages.

 

Day 08 - The Legendary Train to Ella

Board the legendary train from Nanu Oya to Ella, widely regarded as one of the world’s most picturesque rail journeys. Watch tea gardens, waterfalls, and misty peaks glide past your window in cinematic splendour. If time allows, thrill-seekers can enjoy abseiling, ziplining, and quad biking, followed by an optional visit to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge.

 

Day 09 - Udawalawe Safari & Sinharaja

Transfer to Udawalawe, stopping to marvel at the Ravana Waterfall cascading down jungle-clad rocks. Dive into an afternoon jeep safari at Udawalawe National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds, water buffalo and rich birdlife. As evening draws in, continue to the serene Sinharaja region, unwinding at your eco-lodge in this peaceful natural setting.

 

Day 10 - Sinharaja Rainforest Immersion

Linger over a peaceful morning on Galle’s beautiful beaches or the turquoise coves of nearby Unawatuna. Optionally join a seasonal whale watching excursion from Mirissa for an unforgettable ocean encounter. Visit a sea turtle hatchery to learn about marine conservation, and indulge in a soothing Ayurvedic spa session before a beachside seafood BBQ dinner.

 

Day 13 - Stilt Fishermen, Mangroves & Colombo

Watch stilt fishermen balance over Koggala’s glittering lagoon, a uniquely Sri Lankan sight. Glide through Madu River’s enchanting mangroves on a boat safari, visiting a cinnamon island and experiencing a traditional fish spa. Continue to Colombo for a vibrant evening in the city, featuring Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and rooftop dining with ocean views.

 

Day 14 - Farewell & Departure

Savour a leisurely final breakfast before wrapping up your Sri Lankan journey. If time permits, enjoy a Colombo heritage walk, browse galleries and museums, or hunt for last-minute treasures – premium Ceylon teas, precious gems and beautiful handicrafts. Your private transfer then whisks you to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward departure.
